Wired to last
Wired to last off grid and on site. Dual battery systems, DC-DC charging, solar input and full 12V fitouts, installed by a workshop that has to fix the ones that were done badly.
Dual battery systems
A dual battery system lets you run a fridge, lights and accessories without waking up to a vehicle that will not start. Simple idea. It is the wiring that separates the ones that last from the ones that do not.
We fit the auxiliary battery, a DC-DC charger sized to the vehicle's alternator, correctly rated cable, proper fusing at both ends, and a mount that will not shift on corrugations. Solar input where you camp in one place long enough to need it. Popular on 70 Series tourers and work utes alike.
The parts most often skimped on are cable gauge and fusing. Undersized cable means the auxiliary battery never properly charges, and missing fuses turn a chafed wire into a vehicle fire. We do not cut either corner.
Beyond the battery
Everything the system feeds: fridge circuits, lighting, USB and device charging, inverters, distribution panels, water pumps, compressors and monitoring. For touring builds we plan it around the canopy or drawer layout so cable runs are hidden, protected and serviceable. For work utes we build it to survive a job site.
Driving lights, light bars, UHF radios and aerials, air compressors, winches, reversing cameras and fridge slides. Fitted, wired and fused properly, with the switches somewhere you can actually reach.
4x4 accessory fittingWeight matters
A lithium system in a canopy with solar and a distribution panel weighs and costs differently to a basic under-bonnet setup. If you are already close to your limit with a bull bar and canopy, the battery choice matters.
We size the system to what you actually run and for how long, and if the total build is pushing the numbers we will talk about a GVM upgrade before you spend, not after. Everything is fitted and serviced from our workshop in Darra.

An auxiliary battery sized to what you are running, a DC-DC charger, a proper mount, correctly rated cable and fusing, and an isolator. Add solar if you camp in one spot for more than a night or two.
A basic under-bonnet setup is considerably cheaper than a lithium system in a canopy with solar and a distribution panel. We quote fixed once we know what you are running.
Lithium is lighter and takes deeper discharge, which matters if you are fighting a GVM limit. AGM is cheaper up front and fine for lighter use. We will tell you which suits rather than pushing the expensive one.
Yes, and it is a lot of what we see. Undersized cable and missing fuses are the usual culprits. We will tell you what is wrong and quote the fix. Bring it in with your next service if that is easier.
